N.A.O.C. entertaining Northampton audiences since 1898

This concert this year will be a different format with five major pieces being performed by the whole group, four pieces to be performed by the Concert Group with an open invitation to all members to join them. Lastly there will be several solos from members who have been invited to sing at the concert. Rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays (for the Concert Group numbers) and Thursdays for the other set pieces.

Wednesday rehearsals have already commenced, Steve Steerswill be pleased for people to attend at the next rehearsal.

Rehearsals commence on Thursday – 25th February – 7.30pm all at Wardington Court. Music cost approx. Ł7.50.

We have also made a decision on dress code for the concert. Women will wear black trousers and matching tops (these will be bulk purchased and sizings and details of cost will be discussed at rehearsals). Men will wear black shirts and trousers.

MAIN AUTUMN PRODUCTION

We have had fun and games with the main show, initially being refused the licence for Jesus Christ Superstar and then our second choice also running into difficulties but this week we have been awarded the licence for Jesus Christ Superstar.

We anticipate a technical and dress rehearsal on 24^th October, opening on 25^th and running until Saturday with two performances on that day at NSB Cripps Theatre

We have been able to secure Martyn Knight's services for the direction, We are working out rehearsal details at the moment and setting will be done in June and July. Paul Truman will as usual be our wonderful Musical Director.

Auditions for Superstar – 20^th and 21^st May – venue and timings to be arranged.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS

Please note that annual subs will be due from April and Kathryn will be contacting you with details of all monies due. As you know we have to try and raise as much money as we can this year if we wish to return to Derngate in the future.
